CHRISTMAS UPDATE
In the past few months, "How We Danced" had gained
exposure in the Italian press receiving all-round flattering reviews
(see here). We
will devote the year 2012 to live shows, not without suprises. The
first one in order is a hometown show at Le Mura on 8 February; more
will follow. Last but not least, the band is now on SoundCloud
with three songs off the album available for streaming.

"HOW WE DANCED"

Ladies and gentlemen,
"How We Danced" will be officially released 6 June 2011 on
Five To Midnight, and delivered via Unhip Records/Audioglobe.
The record – mastered by Duncan Cowell at Sound Mastering,
London (Richard Hawley, Billy Bragg) –
counts guest appearances by Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta, Il Teatro
degli Orrori, Baustelle, etc.) and Liam McKahey (Cousteau), amongst
other friends. Three final masters off the LP (namely, "Dance With Me",
"Biergarten", and "Flashforward At Three") are
now available both on our MySpace
and Facebook pages,
and will serve as an appetiser for you folks out there.
The complete tracklist, as well as an artwork preview, are available in
the Music
section of the website.

RECORD UPDATE
Dear folks,
The new album "How We Danced" will be out this Spring - the official
release date will be announced over the next month. Duncan
Cowell
at
Sound Mastering (Richard Hawley, Billy Bragg) took care of the
mastering. Other sounds will be disclosed, along with the artwork and
the final
track-list.
In the meantime, everyone please welcome
our new drummer Giuliano Ferrari.

mixing session of
the new album is almost over; we have therefore planned to make some
new sounds available in two weeks' time. First song in order will be

GIG AT ALTROQUANDO
City Final ritornano il 30
Aprile (il concerto
è stato rinviato rispetto alla data originaria,
Venerdì
12 Marzo) alla
libreria/birreria Altroquando/Anderquando con un set acustico speciale
e rigorosamente gratuito. All’anticipazione di alcuni brani
dell’album in via di completamento (la band è
impegnata
senza sosta anche in studio) faranno seguito pezzi più
datati e
altre sorprese. A tre mesi di distanza dall’ultimo in-store,
la band smette la veste più elettrica e si presenta per la
prima
volta con un set multi-strumentale per un viaggio intimo in territori
cinematici, folk e country.
English version:
City Final come back on 30 April (the gig has been postponed from
Friday 12 March) at the ever-welcoming
Altroquando/Anderquando bookstore/beer-bar with a very special
free-entry acoustic set. The band – currently in studio
completing the new album – will perform new material, as well
as
old and unexpected tunes. Three months after their last in-store gig,
the
band proffers a multi-instrumental set, conceived as an intimate
journey through cinematic, folk and country music.

SHOWS UPDATE
Hello folks,
Even
though our gig at Altroquando has been postponed, it seems that we now
have an interesting string of gigs coming up in April. We will be
playing an electric set with The Cesarians (London, UK) at Sinister
Noise Club (Roma) on 5 April; then, we will make up for the cancelled
show at Altroquando on 30 April, with a truly special acoustic set.
Springtime
is at the doors and music is in the air.

UPCOMING GIGS

It is a great pleasure to announce that our
friends at Ma
Che Siete Venuti a Fa' have been recently rated
the best
beer-bar in the world for the year 2010 (see
RateBeer for
reference). The guys are going to celebrate this special event with a
party
at Circolo degli Artisti (Roma) on 1 March – here we'll
perform a live set along with some other bands yet to be announced.
Tickets will be exclusively sold in advance (which means no tickets
will be available at the doors), and can be purchased directly from the
pub.
In addition, we'll be performing a very
special
free-entry acoustic set on 12 March at the ever
welcoming Altroquando
bookstore. Have a look at the

BIG CHANGE, LITTLE
CHANGE
Welcome. Again, I shall say.
After
almost 4 years and many different incarnations, the band has completed
its transition to City Final.
The creature has
undergone a minor face-lift, and the new name is perhaps the most
tangible
proof. Curzio had become increasingly busy with work, and
couldn't
be a full-time member of the band anymore. However, his contribution
has been essential for the completion of the new album and, as part of
our
family, we are confident our paths will be crossing again.
Nonetheless, just a few changes took place for you users of the
worldwide web. The website has slightly changed in look, yet
the
structure and contents remain pretty much the same.
We have two shows coming up:
we'll be performing very special sets @ Altroquando bookstore in Roma
on 22 January, and @ Valtorto in Ravenna on 24 February. Further
details will follow.
